Two musical happenings to start off May …

John Hartley calls you to the Foundling Community Choir – open rehearsal on Monday 8 May. 6pm > 8pm.

“Inspired by our wonderful Musical Director, Richard WiFoundling-Community-Choir-e1472050419491-300x183.jpglberforce, and meeting in the beautiful surroundings of the Museum’s Picture Gallery, under the watchful eye of G F Handel, we develop an eclectic and extensive repertoire, including classical, folk, madrigals, pop and traditional.

No audition is required so just come along and try us out. We meet every Monday (term time) evening from 6pm to 8pm at the Foundling Museum, 40 Brunswick Square.”

And Vivian Conacher has taken time out from her trip (home?) to Sydney to tell us about the next Songhaven concert at Lumen Church, Tavistock Place, on Saturday 6th May at 3:00pm

Songhaven provides professional concerts for people living with dementia/memory loss and their carers, friends and families, giving high-standard music performances in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.This next concert is inspired by landscapes and the seasons and will feature a varied selection of classical and popular repertoire, finishing with a well-known song for the audience to sing along to. Black Olive Cooks will then provide a delicious afternoon tea for the audience to enjoy in the Lumen Cafe.
