Extra monitoring for Tavistock and Brunswick Squares in ‘Unlocking parks’ pilot

Two weeks in to Camden’s ‘Unlocking parks’ pilot, and three parks have have had to be re-categorised following late night incidents – two of them in Bloomsbury. Tavistock Square and Bloomsbury Square have both been re-categorised from green to amber. This means they will remain in the pilot, but receive extra monitoring and patrols.

In the case of Tavistock Square this is due to the vandalism of the Barbirolli tree we reported on 9th June.  Brunswick Square has been re-categorised due to an unspecified incident which may have occurred inside “or just outside the boundary of the park” according to Camden.  No other concerns or incidents have been reported for Brunswick Square.

The pilot continues until 26 June.  If you want report an incident please telephone Contact Camden on the usual number – 020 7974 4444.
